We believe that by providing specialist financial services we are helping schools and kura to make effective decisions that support their learners and their community.

Our goal is to assist schools to make these critical decisions by providing the best financial information and insights available. We believe that the experience and expertise of our staff together with our specialisation in the schooling sector is our point of difference.

Edtech was established in 1992 by ex-school principal John Somerville to assist schools with the administrative changes brought about by changes in government policy. Today, we are similarly led by a former school principal, Paul Wright. Paul’s leadership is always informed by the view from the principal’s chair, by an understanding of the challenges that schools face, and a deep personal and professional commitment to the best possible outcomes for the school, the school’s leaders, and through them to every student in the school.

We have been a leading provider of financial services for schools for almost 30 years and currently provide financial support, including the preparation of annual accounts, to more than 140 schools. Our experienced and qualified team of accountants and financial consultants includes eight chartered accountants together with former school executive officers and finance team members. We are a Xero Gold Business Partner and enjoy a close relationship with the leading audit firms.

We seek to build long -term partnerships with our schools, based on a commitment to adding value. We understand that where finances are concerned, every school has different needs and we are responsive to these, and adaptive to changing requirements over time.

We strongly reaffirm our commitment to our founding vision of empowering schools to succeed.
